How To Boost Your Immunity Naturally?

As the Covid-19 has become a pandemic, everyone is at risk to be infected. Besides the usual and known hygienic measures, such as washing our hands, avoid touching our face and social distancing etc that we can take to minimise the risk, there is only one thing could safe us from being infected should we expose to the virus — that is our immunity. Needless to say, having a strong immunity could save us due to the exposure, also could help us to recover from the infection faster and even minimise the damaging effects after the recovery: Some people who recover from the coronavirus might be left with ’20 to 30%’ less lung function, and gasping for breath when they walk quickly, Hong Kong doctors said.

SLEEP WELL AND SLEEP EARLY

After almost twenty years of searching, I believe this is the only way to really improve your immunity easily. I have eaten healthy diet and tried numerous supplements, but nothing beat the sleep. If you’re having trouble sleeping, try melatonin and other sleep-promoting supplements before going for sleep pills. If you really want to shorten the duration of your sleep, then try take up meditation, for, meditation is deeper and beyond sleep!

EATING A PLANT-BASED WHOLEFOOD DIET

The study was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

早餐燕麦可能含致癌杀草剂

美环保组织:多款早餐燕麦含致癌除草剂|中国报

(华盛顿18日综合电)美国一个环保组织表示,他们最新研究发现,市面上受美国孩童喜爱的一系列早餐脆片、燕麦片、点心棒等产品,验出超标的致癌除草剂“草甘膦”(glyphosate),中镖者不乏知名厂牌。

英国《卫报》报导,环保组织“环境工作团”(Environmental Working Group, EWG)在45个燕麦製品样本里发现43个含嘉磷塞。“草甘膦”是广受欢迎的除草剂品牌“Roundup”中的主成分。

根据EWG官网公布的数据,共测试45个传统样本与16个有机样本。16个有机样本里有5个验出“草甘膦”,但均未超出EWG认定的160ppb健康标準;但45个传统样本里有43个验出含“草甘膦”,且31个含量超标。

EWG指,儿童对草甘膦的安全摄取量,不应超过160 ppb,但桂格燕麦两个样本,均被验出草甘膦的浓度超过1000 ppb。此外,桂格的另外两种产品「恐龙蛋即食燕麦片」(Quaker’s dinosaur eggs instant oatmeal)和「钢切燕麦粒」(Steel Cut Oats),草甘膦含量也高达500 ppb。

EWG表示,部分含量超标的产品来自桂格(Quaker)、家乐氏(Kellogg’s)及生产Cheerios的通用磨坊(General Mills)公司。

通用磨坊与家乐氏的发言人均表示,他们的食品都很安全,符合美国环境保护署(EPA)所订的严格食安标準;桂格也表示,产品的安全与品质足令消费者安心。

不过EWG表示,厂商遵循的都是早已过时的联邦标準,大部分受测产品超标,必须订出更严格“草甘膦”含量安全标準。

EWG主席库克说:「没人希望吃除草剂当早餐,人们也不应吃到。」库克表示,他们会敦促美国环保署限制“草甘膦”用於粮食作物,但各企业应自发性拿出行动,因为川普政府监督机制的「无法无天」令人担心。

草甘膦除草剂在全球农业受到广泛使用,尤其以美国农业大厂「孟山都」(Monsanto)生产的“Roundup”最为畅销。本月稍早,孟山都因为没有警告民众,使用“Roundup”可能有致癌风险,令一名在旧金山湾区担任学校园丁的男子罹患淋巴癌,而被旧金山法院裁定,必须赔偿该名园丁2.89亿美元(约88.9亿元台币)

Namaste与Namaskar的区别

当我们说Namaste时,互相双手合掌放置在胸前,两眼注视对方,弯腰向对方致敬时,心中默念“我内在的神性,向你的神性顶礼致敬。”当下彼此是一体的,没有对立的。

这两个词的前面都是Nama,Nama的意思是鞠躬,表示尊重。

Aste,梵文是“存在,非我”的意思,As就是我,Te就是你。因此,Namaste 的意思是“我向你鞠躬”的含义,也有更大的含义是“我向存在(existence)鞠躬”。

Askaar(Astitvakaarak),是指一切表象、展现和所造之物的源头,也就是创造了宇宙万象的绝对意识。

所以,Namaskar 隐含的意义是“我向绝对【至上】意识鞠躬”。
